The use of the internet is making people more saavy and self-sufficient - especially for the younger and more forward-thinking people who have grown-up using the internet. Some things are far easier and faster to do yourself than it is to have somebody help you. Sometimes people who are supposed to help tend to "get in the way". Just look at the explosion of commerce and self-help sites on the Internet. Although this attitude is not currently taken when it comes to LIMS and laboratory data... it WILL be and you can provide this advanced feature to your company and customers via WinLIMS.NET™.

By its nature the web-based WinLIMS.NET™ software will become pervasive throughout your company (and even by your customers) because it can be used by anybody with a valid login id and password without installing any software. This convenience will greatly enhance your organization's productivity because the self-service nature of the software allows people to enter information and retrieve information faster and without inconveniencing your staff members who used to be needed for assistance. But they will need to be trained or have help available to them... and WinLIMS.NET™ has solved the costly and complex training problem.

Standard On-Line Documentation

Wiki on-line help
WinLIMS.NET™ provides standard, on-line documentation that is hot-linked to QSI's Wiki Documentation managmenet system in a context-sensitive manner by simply clicking on the Help icon that is displayed within all of the software's web pages. On-line help that is directed to QSI's Wiki site ensures that all standard documentation is always up-to-date and available by a simple click of the mouse and conveniently presents you with the subject matter that is germane to the page from which the help was requested.

On-line help totally eliminates the frustration encountered when trying to locate hard copy documentation or electronic files that always seem to be misplaced. It also ensures that the documentation is always up-to-date.

Standard On-Line Training Movies

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a movie is worth a million! WinLIMS.NET™ provides on-line movies that show how to use the software's primary functions. You simply select the topic and the annotated movie walks you through the steps. Movies have proven to be a more effective tool for learning the use of software vs. hardcopy or electronic documentation, so your staff will become more effective faster than ever. The movies can also be used to "refresh" your user's memory when they forget how to do something. This tool can totally eliminate the time and cost with training your staff; especially if you have sites located throughout the world while eliminating the strain on your help desk.

Site-Specific On-Line Documentation

Your system will be configured to use your nomenclature, language(s) and workflow, so the standard on-line documentation will not always provide the level of detail that your users need. To accommodate this, WinLIMS.NET™ allows you to reference your internally written help on-line in the same way the standard help is accessed. If you'd like, QSI can be contracted to create site-specific documentation in order to alleviate this task from your staff.

Site-Specific On-Line Training Movies

As previously mentioned, your system will be configured to use your nomenclature, language(s) and workflow, so like the the standard on-line movies will not always provide the level of detail that your users need. To accommodate this, WinLIMS.NET™ also allows you to reference your internally created movies on-line in the same way the standard movies are accessed. If you'd like, QSI can be contracted to create site-specific movies in order to alleviate this task from your staff.
